Alain Platel’s latest creation calls upon Tauber Bach – literally "Bach sung by the deaf”– and takes inspiration from a documentary by Marcos Prado on a woman living in the dumps around Rio de Janeiro. The actress Elsie de Brauw is inspiring in her role, accompanied by dancers ensnared in an apocalyptic environment. The show is the result of a collective exploration of gesture, as the dancers delve deeper into the raw recesses of the mind yet untouched by civilisation.
